Sheen guide.

Same color, four looks. We usually roll Behr Marquee. Sheen is what makes a kitchen wipe clean or a bedroom stay soft. Tap a finish in the menu to jump here.

Matte

Behr Marquee Interior Matte

Almost no shine. Soft, even color.

Use it: Ceilings and quiet walls — bedrooms, living rooms that don’t get wiped down every week.
Skip it: Kitchens, baths, hallways, and anything that needs scrubbing. Matte marks easier.

Eggshell

Behr Marquee Interior Eggshell

A low, pearl sheen. Most walls in a house.

Use it: Living rooms, dining rooms, bedrooms, and hallways with light traffic. Hides a little, wipes a little.
Skip it: Wet rooms and trim. If kids or steam are the story, step up to satin.

Satin

Behr Marquee Interior Satin Enamel

A clear, smooth glow. Easy to clean.

Use it: Kitchens, baths, laundry, kids’ rooms, mudrooms, and doors you don’t want full gloss on.
Skip it: Bump ceilings and uneven plaster — shine shows every ridge.

Semi-gloss

Behr Marquee Interior Semi-Gloss Enamel

Hard, bright, washable. The trim sheen.

Use it: Baseboards, doors, window casing, cabinets, and high-moisture trim.
Skip it: Broad walls. Semi-gloss on a whole room looks like plastic and shows every patch.

Outside

Marquee exterior is a different can. Same idea: flatter on the siding, shinier on the trim.

Flat / matte
Siding that wants to hide age. Less glare on a big wall.
Satin enamel
Most exteriors. Dirt rinses off; still looks like a house, not a car.
Semi-gloss enamel
Doors, shutters, trim. The punch around the windows.
